About the project

Museum of Geology of Central Siberia is considered one of the best museums in Siberia and the Far East. It's collection represents the history of the study and development of the Eastern Siberian regional geology, fossils, geological monuments of nature. Many of the exhibits are unique.

Online database system "Collection of the Museum of Geology of Central Siberia" created to perform representation of the natural wealth of Russia and of the region, to form the open communication environment for professionals in the field of natural heritage. The scope of this resource is education and science. Information system may be used in the exposure operation of the museum, in the study of geology, mineralogy, in the research and educational activities of cultural institutions.

The project is created by teachers and students of the Institute of the Humanities of the Siberian Federal University in 2012 (www.sfu-kras.ru) with the participation of the staff of the Museum of geology of Central Siberia (www.mgeocs.ru) and financial support of the Regional Fund of support of scientific and technical activities (www.sf-kras.ru).
